Anish Shah is a New York based comedian who has put together an award-winning act that incorporates storytelling, song, and just a little bit of crying
(seriously).

After getting an MBA from Yale and spending five years working up the corporate ladder at the management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company, Anish wandered into a comedy club open mic, told some jokes, and set path on a career in comedy...turning his $100,000 B-School degree into a $100,000 piece of wall decor.

Anish got bit by the showbiz bug at the age of 7 in his 2nd grade production of "Peter Pan." In fact, he even earned the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Capt. Hook, in a gala ceremony held in his mother's kitchen. (Impressed? Keep reading.)
Since then, he's done plays, musicals, acted as the lead in an independent film, and most importantly, built a career as a rising star of stand-up comedy, performing all over the world, having made dozens of television appearances, taping a one-hour comedy special, and working to raise more than $300,000 for charity through comedy (it's not bragging if it's for a good cause, right?)

Anish is now in the midst of embarking on a 50-city comedy tour of Business Schools, with his signature show "B-School Made Me Funny."

With so much going on, it.s no wonder Anish was selected as one the 50 Coolest South Asians by DesiClub in 2012 alongside Salman Rushdie, Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Time Editor-At-Large Bobby Ghosh, and writer/actress Mindy Kaling.
